(God rest his soul)

Bush wants us to cut the amount of gas we use. The best way to stop using so much gas is to deport 11 million illegal immigrants! That would be 11 million less people using our gas. The price of gas would come down. Bring our troops home from Iraq to guard the Border. When they catch an illegal immigrant crossing the border, hand him a canteen, rifle and some ammo and ship him to Iraq . Tell him if he wants to come to America then he must serve a tour in the military. Give him a soldier's pay while he's there and tax him on it. After his tour, he will be allowed to become a citizen since he defended this country. He will also be registered to be taxed and be a legal patriot. This option will probably deter illegal immigration and provide a solution for the troops in Iraq and the aliens trying to make a better life for themselves. If they refuse to serve, ship them to Iraq anyway, without the canteen, rifle or ammo.

Problem solved.

Well as many of you know I had to give up driving my 4x4 to work everyday because of gas prices. I had to look around long and hard to find a car that was comfortable for my 2 hour round trip commute. Well after searching around I drove the Nissan Versa and loved it. Very roomy for a big guy like me and can seat all five us at least until the kids grow up. The pictures at the right are stock but they match what we bought exactly color and all. Some people may think it is a little sporty for me at my age but hey I don't care and as of the most recent fill up I am getting just over 32 mpg.

Initial observations are it is sturdy little car that gets the job done. More latter after I break her in a bit.

Heidi pushed and pushed and after a little while, Connor was born. The paramedic lifted him by his little feet and spanked him on his bottom. Connor began to cry.
Here is a little test that will help you decide.
The answer can be found by posing the following question:
You're walking down a deserted street with your wife and two small children.
Suddenly, an Islamic Terrorist with a huge knife comes around the corner, locks eyes with you, screams obscenities, praises Allah, raises the knife, and charges at you. You are carrying a Glock 40 cal., and you are an expert shot. You have mere seconds before he reaches you and your family. What do you do?
........................................................

Democrat's Answer:(read Obama)

Well, that's not enough information to answer the question!
Does the man look poor or oppressed?
Have I ever done anything to him that would inspire him to attack?
Could we run away?
What does my wife think?
What about the kids?
Could I possibly swing the gun like a club and knock the knife out of his hand? What does the law say about this situation?
Does the Glock have appropriate safety built into it?
Why am I carrying a loaded gun anyway, and what kind of message does this send to society and to my children?
Is it possible he'd be happy with just killing me?
Does he definitely want to kill me, or would he be content just to wound me?
If I were to grab his knees and hold on, could my family get away while he was stabbing me?
Should I call 9-1-1?
Why is this street so deserted?
We need to raise taxes, have a paint and weed day and make this a happier, healthier street that would discourage such behavior.
This is all so confusing!
Relationships both personal and professional are something we have all struggled with from time to time in our lives. At one time or another someone you think you can trust betrays your trust and in such a way that it hurts very deeply. Under most circumstances if the relationship is something of value, you can forgive the offending party and after working it out it actually strengthens the relationship.

Then there are those times when either the nature of the offense or the conditions under which it occurred are not forgivable. When this happens to me, it usually means that level trust is damaged to the point that I am unlikely to expend the effort to try and repair the relationship. There have been a few exceptions to this my past but, as I have gotten older this happens less and less. Maybe it is just me changing or maybe it is me finally wising up to the fact that if this person did this once they may do it again and are not worthy of the trust I had given them. In that case the relationship was not all I had thought it was and it is best to let it go.

Recent events have made take a long hard look at all my relationships and reevaluate them. In the cases where major damage has been done I have decided that I am not willing to expend the effort to fix these relationships but instead scale back or completely cut off those relationships and refocus that energy. This unused energy is then put towards making the remaining relationships stronger. Sometimes on the rare occasions I have sought out new relationships and applied the lessons learned in the hope of making these new ones immune to this kind of damage and saving me from future anguish.

Come winter, the shivering grasshopper calls a press conference and demands to know why the ant should be allowed to be warm and well fed while others are cold and starving.

CBS, NBC, PBS, CNN, and ABC show up to provide pictures of the shivering grasshopper next to a video of the ant in his comfortable home with a table filled with food.

America is stunned by the sharp contrast.

How can this be, that in a country of such wealth, this poor grasshopper is allowed to suffer so ?

Kermit the Frog appears on Oprah with the grasshopper, and everybody cries when they sing, 'It's Not Easy Being Green.'

Jesse Jackson stages a demonstration in front of the ants' house where on the scene reporters film the group singing, 'We shall overcome.' Jesse then has the group kneel down to pray to God for the grasshopper's sake.

Ted Kennedy and Barack Obama claim in an interview with Larry King that ants have gotten rich off the backs of the grasshoppers, and both call for an immediate tax hike on all ants to make them pay their fair share.

Finally, the EEOC drafts the Economic Equity & Anti-Grasshopper Act retroactive to the beginning of the summer.

The ant is now fined for having failed to hire a proportionate number of green bugs and, having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes, his home is confiscated by the government.

Hillary gets her old law firm to represent the grasshopper in a defamation suit against the ant, and the case is tried before a panel of federal judges that Bill Clinton appointed from a list of single-parent welfare recipients.

The ant loses the case.

The story ends as we see the grasshopper finishing up the last bits of the ant's food while the government house he is in, which just happens to be the ant's former home, crumbles around him because he doesn't maintain it.

The ant has disappeared in the snow.

The grasshopper is found dead in a drug related incident and the house, now abandoned, is taken over by a gang of spiders who terrorize the once peaceful neighborhood.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Be careful how you vote in 2008!
